Control

Today I want to talk about control. We all know what control is and at some point we strive to be in complete control of our lives. We enjoy planning things. We enjoy the control that we have over our lives because of the simple fact of free will. The freedom to do what we want, when we want. But now we are asked to give up control because of the unknown. People aren’t too sure now if they can handle it. Imagine going through life each day, living with a planned schedule. Wake up, get dressed, go to work, go to the gym, go home and repeat. Now we are told we can’t go outside. That’s ok, it’s for our safety. But now it’s been a couple of weeks and things are starting to look a little shaky. We aren’t used to not having control for this long. We are living during a time that is foreign to us. My only suggestion is to accept that there are certain things outside of your control and focus on what you can control. The relief of that stress is a great feeling. Stop thinking about what you will do about work and think about how I can make this situation work for me. You are stronger than you think, you just haven’t had the time to explore your potential. Now…you do.
