Neurodevelopmental Disorders, a brief introduction

For the next couple posts I plan on writing on some of the neurodevelopmental disorders as listed through the DSM-5. In the same way that i’ve done the breakdown of previous disorders, I will now focus on a specific subsection (i.e. neurodevelopmental for now) and right after the suggested treatment for that specific disorders. The first post would be Intellectual Disability (Intellectual Developmental Disorder) and the post after would be the treatment style thats suggested for it. If the treatment is a bit confusing or something that I have not discussed then another post would be written to discuss this treatment as well.

In this series the disorders will be

• Intellectual Disability (Intellectual Developmental Disorder)

• Global Developmental Delay

• Unspecified Intellectual Disability

I appreciate the support that I have gained so far as well as the consistent readers. For those that don’t know, I have also started a Tik Tok series as well called, Everybody Gets One, where in the same vein I will either breakdown a disorder by criterion one by one, provide a mental health fact or an opinion based on any mental health news that comes out during the recording of the video.
